The "Guide Pratique de Gestion des Déchets Biomédicaux" is a simple and practical manual for waste management in health care facilities in Mali. It aims to enable care providers and health technicians to:
- Better know and make in practice the the various stages of waste management in health care facilitie, including waste sorting, collection, transportation, treatment and possible disposal options.
- Better know their roles and responsibilities in order to encourage the sustainable management of medical waste.
The training module for waste management in health care facilities is part of the guidelines used by the Health Directorate of Segou Region (Mali).
