Mini Water Supply Systems „Multi-Village“ in Niger

In Niger, the groundwater is of very good quality. However, its extraction is expensive, since the water table is very deep (often more than 800 meters). Since 2011, the authorities recommend to build Mini Water Supply Systems "Multi-Village", of which each system consists of a single pumping station, a central water tower and a network of pipelines to water points in several villages. The system is managed by a private operator.
